October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and there are a plethora of apps out there which help with prevention, provide information and even help breast cancer patients.

Daisy Wheel
Free for iOS
This app is a great way to introduce breast self-exams to younger women. Daisy Wheel was specifically developed to educate girls in grades 5-12  on the importance of, and how to do a breast self exam — for life.

iBreastCheck
Free for Android and iOS
This app is a one-stop shop for all things related to breast cancer prevention. The app features a demonstration video and slideshow as well as a feature that you can set to remind you when to do your next self breast-exam. The app also features a quiz that assesses how your lifestyle could affect your risk of getting breast cancer.

Inkspiration
Free for iOS
The Inkspiration app by P.ink offers breast cancer survivors a way to privately “try on” mastectomy scar-coverage tattoos. You can select a body type or upload your own photo to get an idea of what different designs might look on them. After you’ve tried out the tattoos, the app will help you connect with real-world tattoo artists with mastectomy experience.
