A two-year-old boy is recovering this morning, after he fell from a second-floor window.

It happened in East Garfield Park in the 3300 block of West Warren Boulevard.

Someone passing by, heard the boy crying beneath the apartment window, and alerted the police.  "He hit the dirt and the grass," said Darren Traylor, the boy's uncle.  "So that's a plus for us," he said.

The fall appears to have been an accident.

The boy's parents were sleeping inside, and didn't hear it.  They are with their son at Lurie Children's Hospital where he is in stable condition.

"We're looking forward to seeing him," Traylor said, "(be)cause everybody loves on him."
