A third suspect is now charged in the murder of a retired Chicago police sergeant.

Nicholas Heisler was arrested in Hammond last week.

He’s headed to bond court today.

Heisler is the third person charged in the death of 73-year-old Elmer Brown.

Brown was shot and killed during a home invasion and robbery.

That happened at Brown’s home at 115th and Avenue G in March.

Brown had served 38-years on the Chicago police force.

Jesse Kazmierski and a 16-year-old boy are also charged with his murder.
