A teenager is being held on a $1 million dollar bond in the murder of a Jesse White Tumbler.

Quinton Evans was on parole for a gun conviction at the time.

Police say he was one of two men who shot and killed 16-year-old Devonshay Lofton with semi-automatic weapons last Thursday night, on the Near North Side.

Prosecutors did not reveal a motive. Jesse White says it was a case of mistaken identity.

Evans was paroled in January after serving a year in prison for unlawful use of a weapon.

The second suspect has not been caught.
