Changes make OHare very noisy neighbor for some

O’Hare reclaimed the title as “World’s Busiest Airport”.

It lost the designation to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International airport a decade ago.

That airport has retained the top spot since.

But, so far this year, FAA data shows O’Hare is ahead of Atlanta by more than 3,000 flights.

Mayor Emanuel and Chicago’s aviation commissioner say there is no doubt those trends will continue through the rest of the year.

It’s believed Atlanta still handles more passengers.
