Walk raises record amount for ALS

Thousands of people gathered today on Chicago’s lakefront for the 13th Annual ALS Walk 4 Life.

The walk stepped off from Soldier Field Sunday morning.

ALS awareness got a boost this summer from the Ice Bucket Challenge – which went viral on social media.

Today’s walk raised a record $1.1 million dollars to fund ALS research through the Les Turner ALS Foundation.
