Residents in a far South Side neighborhood woke up Sunday morning to find racist graffiti painted on homes and vehicles.
Overnight Saturday, someone or several people spray painted racial slurs on cars and houses in the Morgan Park neighborhood.
The slurs were painted on several cars, garages, and the side of a home in the mostly African-American neighborhood.
WGN counted at least six incidents over several streets in the 10000 and 11000 blocks of Esmond, Hermosa, and Prospect streets in Morgan Park.
Victims have tried to clean off the paint and in some cases professional auto body shops will have to be involved.
Police tell WGN the investigation is ongoing.
