Two Chicago universities are moving into the next round of competition for the Barack Obama's Presidential Library and Museum.

The University of Chicago and UIC are among four semi-finalists.  Columbia University in New York and the University of Hawaii are also in the running.

The competition is expected to heat up as the semi-finalists submit detailed proposals by mid-December.

The president and first lady will then determine two finalists with the winning bid expected to be named in early 2015.

Since Chicago will be the site of the much anticipated George Lucas Star Wars Museum which generates all kinds of revenue when the comic con and anime crowd get organized. Do we really need Barak Obama’s venue?? I think not. Let some other state have it. Hawaii is a good choice.
