6 oz package of cream cheese
1 cup brown sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
Granny Smith (or other) apples
Make the dip by mixing the cream cheese, brown sugar and vanilla with a mixer on medium, until smooth and the sugar has dissolved (about 4-5 minutes). Optional: Add a little yellow and purple food coloring to make it a deeper tan color. Make the bowl by cutting one apple in half, cut out the core and make a football shape hole. Slice off the backside of the apple, so it has a flat surface to sit on. Cut up other half of the apple for dipping. Make a few tiny strips from one of the slices to make your football laces. Put it together. Fill the hole with dip. Layer the strips on the top to make the laces.
If you want a savory alternative, use peanut butter instead of the caramel dip.
