Tony's Tips:

Enjoy cool season planting as long as soil temperatures are above 40 degrees F.

Refresh summer containers by swapping out tired-looking summer plants with cold-hardy annuals and perennials like mums, asters or pansies.

Add ornamental cabbage and kale for extra visual interest and fun.

Edible gardening continues in fall – plant late-season vegetables like radishes, lettuce, spinach, broccoli, Swiss chard and garlic for a later harvest.

Fall is a great time for lawn care – seed bare spots with high-quality seeds, then fertilize and water.
