On Friday, the Chicago Bulls officially opened the Advocate Center, the team's new training facility next door to the United Center.

Bulls chairman Jerry Reinsdorf, team executives John Paxson and Gar Forman, Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Ald. Walter Burnett, 27th Ward, were in attendance for a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday morning.

The Bulls and Advocate Health Care agreed to a multiyear deal in June that includes the naming rights to the new training center.

The Advocate Center features state-of-the-art weight training, a gourmet commercial-grade kitchen, leather theater seats, and more floor space than the Berto Center in Deerfield, where the Bulls practiced since 1992.

The Bulls would not disclose how much it cost to build the 60,000 square-foot building.
