125,000 people will head to Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet this weekend for NASCAR.
From above, Chicagoland speedway looks like its own small city. It sits on 930 acres of land just south of I-80 and east of IL-53. It's large enough to fit 42 United Centers inside. The infield alone at the track is can fit four football fields.
Thursday afternoon, RV and fans were already lining up and getting set for the races that start on Friday.
Terry Greetham helps coordinate all the fans, getting them in and out safely and quickly. He says they can get 9,000 cars into the facility in just one hour.
Two of the parking lots are currently swampy because of the recent rain, but Terry and his staff are hoping a little sun helps dry everything out for a smooth race weekend.
