Los Angeles, CA — A Beverly Grove resident recently got attention from neighbors and social media users after she wrote a note threatening to poop on the property of whoever did not pick up after their dogs in her neighborhood.

Street artist and muralist Annie Preece wrote the letter “to the person who lets their dog poop on our lawn and doesn’t clean it up.”

The letter continues, calling the person rude and stating that she will follow them home and defecate on their doorstep and vehicle the next time they are seen allowing their dog to do the same on her property.

“I would never really do this, but it got the point across,” Preece said.

Multiple locals told KTLA they agreed with Preece and found the note humorous.

The note was also posted on Reddit Monday, and received 36 comments by the following day.

Full text:

“To the person who lets their dog poop on our lawn and doesn’t clean it up: First of all, it’s beyond rude. We live here and pay a lot of money to live here and it’s not a toilet. Secondly, if you can’t pick up your dog’s poop, you shouldn’t have a dog. And lastly, we are watching you. The next time you let your dog poop on our lawn and don’t pick it up, I will personally follow you back to your home, wait until you get inside, pull down my pants and take a huge dump on your doorstep and on the windshield of your car. Love, Annie.”

I wish they made signs like these and posted them everywhere. It goes to show you that no matter where you live there are always people who don’t pick up after their pets. If your going to walk them bring a bag!!!

Maybe there is no person attached to the “dog” that keeps pooping. It could be a free ranger, feral or even a coyote. I bet this women couldn’t tell dog scat from raccoon! I can tell you that wild animals will return to the same place over and over again. But I looked this woman up on the internet and while her artwork is 3rd rate at best, I would mind seeing her drop trou on my front porch! Where she live? I’ll feed Bowzer 2 cans of Alpo and trot on by there!

Good for her!!! The one sentence that is ESPECIALLY true is “If you can’t pick up your dog’s poop, you shouldn’t have a dog.” I’m considering making business cards that say that & handing them out here locally!! Too many people walk their dogs & let them crap where ever they feel like it, without cleaning it up, so that their own yard won’t be a mess. Thankfully it’s a law here, so one good video & the person can be cited. I’ve driven people from my front yard who attempted to let their dogs crap in it and I hope she does the same. =) (security camera systems are fairly affordable – she might do well to invest & if there are laws against it there, send the videos to the cops – wonder if these people feel their dogs are worth the hundreds in fines…). =D
