(CNN) — Janay Rice, wife of suspended NFL player Ray Rice who was released by the Baltimore Ravens, apparently posted a statement Tuesday on Instagram calling the situation a “nightmare.”

“To take something away from the man I love that he has worked his ass off for all his life just to gain ratings is a horrific (sic),” she wrote.

The actions against Ray Rice were taken Monday after a video surfaced showing him knocking her out with a punch in February.

The Instagram post, reported by various media, appeared to be authentic.

I bet he beat the crap outta her after the video surfaced. She’s really sick to stay with him just for the cash. (That’s why she’s mad. He’s losing the one thing that made being with him tolerable. The comment about him “working his ass off” really applies to her.)

How can she says she loves him, when he knocked her out? (Money????). Purely conjecture on my part, but I would think this is not the first time he has hit a woman.

Just please shut up. A man forgives a man and it’s all good, but a woman forgives a man, and she has “abused woman syndrome”? Seriously people, just shut up!

What I read there are the words of a woman terrified he will take this out on her. Look at the look on her face in the picture…. Lady, your husband is the one that has embarrassed you, taken all your happiness and left you alone. GET OUT! He is an abuser and he isn’t going to get better.

No, she is suffering from “Gold-digger Syndrome”; she’s only upset that she can no longer continue digging into this guy’s funds. The fact that after knocking her unconscious, he dragged her out of the elevator and kicked her while on the ground shows how little he cares about her or anyone else finding out; he looked like he was trying to hide her body from the security guards that caught him in the act.

Really, you can sit there Janay and Justify him beating you in a public place and state that you will continue to grow and love each other…..I never knew that LOVE consisted being knocked out cold by your spouse. Abuse is nothing to take lightly and you really need to seek help before you wind up a statistic of death by abuse! It isn’t easy to leave an abusive relationship, but there is help if you seek it, I suggest you seek it, and fast!

The “man” that you love? Seriously that is not no “man”. That my friend is an abusive sob. I’m sorry that everyone is in your “business” but it’s out there and he deserves more than to be kicked off the team. Find love girl. This isn’t love.

He chose to kiss his own dreams, career and life long accomplishments good-bye, when he literally knocked you out. If you’re okay with his “one-time” fault in your marriage than continue to grow and flourish as a strong couple. I’m sure he will be able to find another career and continue to support you and the family. Domestic Violence is never okay and making is public is proof to show that it isn’t okay. Did he think in the society that we live in there weren’t any cameras around??? Again marriages and every relationships has there ups and downs but never to the point were it is ever JUSTIFIED to physically or verbally cause harm to one another. There is such a huge outrage because this is a daily occurrence for millions of people worldwide. You are probably just literally feeling the financially lost that RAY RICE was BLESSED to have. If you guys are truly in love them seek the help to prevent this from reoccurring in your family.

Stockholm Syndrome? I think so. That or she just wants the money. What a horrible role model for young women and girls who are hearing about this story on TV – her message to kids, “accept that men beat on you because that is how they show you that they love you.” Her Instagram is now private with some ridiculous Bible quote headline – I don’t think God is on your side, honey!
