Cubs Game Notes For Monday @ Toronto

* This will be the fourth series that the Cubs and Blue Jays will play since interleague play began, with their last meeting being in 2008. Chicago and Toronto have split the six games they have played in Toronto and overall, the Cubs have won three of their last four against the Blue Jays.

* The Blue Jays have homered in 11 straight games (since August 26) and have hit a total of 18 home runs during this time. It is the first time Toronto has homered in 11+ straight games since it homered in 12 straight games from August 6 to August 18 in 2011.

* This season, Jacob Turner is 5-8 (.385) with a 5.54 ERA and a .321 opponent batting average. Turner is one of three pitchers this season with an ERA over 5.00 and an opponent batting average over .300 (Colby Lewis, Ricky Nolasco – min. 90 IP).

*In 10 home starts this season, Marcus Stroman is 6-2 (.750) with a 2.11 ERA and a .202 opponent batting average. Stroman is the first Blue Jays rookie to win at least six of his first 10 career home starts since Ricky Romero in 2009.

* Through his first nine career games, Jorge Soler is batting .382 (13/34) with three home runs and 11 RBI. Soler is the first Cubs player to have at least 11 RBI in his first nine career games since Earl Grace had 11 RBI in his first nine games in 1929.

*Jose Bautista has had at least a hit in each of his last 11 games (since August 26) and is batting .348 with seven home runs and 12 RBI during this time. Prior to this season, Bautista had one hit streak of 10+ games (2007) and has now had three hits streaks of 10+ games this season.
