Some schools in the far north suburbs are in a “soft” lockdown mode as police look for a man in a domestic violence case.

Police say the incident happened near Green Bay and Wadsworth roads in Beach Park.

The Daily Herald newspaper reports police are searching for a man involved in a possible shooting.

Schools in the area are on “soft lockdown,” which means classes can continue as normal but students and faculty can’t leave the classroom or offices until police say they can.
