Chicago police are investigating the sexual assault of a teen on the South Side.

Police say the 14-year-old girl was walking in an alley of the 400 block of East 71st St around noon today in the city’s Grand Crossing neighborhood.

A man, age 20-30, riding a bike grabbed the teen and forced her down an alley. Police say the man removed her pants against her will and sexually assaulted her, before taking off.

The girl ran into a nearby restaurant for help. She was taken to Comer Children's Hospital - her status is still unknown.

No one is in custody.
