Jackie Robinson West’s path to the little league world championship game has in many ways brought the city together.

Today's rally in Millennium Park hosted fans from the entire Chicago metro area.

Even while the team was still miles away on the far South Side of Chicago, loyal fans had already begun to stakeout their seats anticipating a huge crowd.
Throughout the morning whole families arrived for the big event and all waited patiently for the champions. They were proud of the little league team that came from obscurity to move into the pantheon of Chicago sports legends – Cubs, Sox, Blackhawks, Bears and now Jackie Robinson West.

By midday, fans filled the band shell and spilled out onto the grass. Thousands of people sat in the picnic area and lined the walls around the amphitheater.
