WOW: Dashcam video captures trucker rescuing grandmother from horrific crash

Dashcam video captured an act of bravery in Biloxi, Miss.

According to KFOR, truck driver David Fredericksen saw a car slam into a semi-truck along I-10. The car immediately burst into flames as other drivers slammed on their brakes to avoid another crash.

Fredericksen grabbed a fire extinguisher from the back of his truck to fight the flames. He then pulled the driver and her 1-year-old granddaughter from the vehicle.  Police and fire officials arrived shortly thereafter.

According to the YouTube description, everyone survived the crash. The grandmother suffered a broken leg, while Fredericksen only suffered minor injuries.

“Everyone involved in the rescue effort is a hero in my books,” the YouTube description reads.
Note: the timestamp on the the video is incorrect. The incident happened Monday, August 11, 2014.
