Arrowstream CEO improving, celebrates birthday with family

The Loop CEO who was shot last month by a disgruntled employee celebrated his 55th birthday in the hospital Sunday.

Steve LaVoie’s wife, Jody, wrote on the CaringBridge website that her husband “looks more like himself” each day and he no longer needs many of “the tubes and machines that have been with him” since the shooting on July 31st.

She also wrote Lavoie’s daughters visited him for the first time Sunday.

He was shot twice on July 31st by Arrowstream employee Tony DeFrances, after DeFrances was told he was being demoted.

LaVoie remains in serious condition at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

Jody LaVoie also wrote a request to blog readers: “Please keep praying. It is helping.”
