Illinois Republicans are getting fired-up for the November elections at the State Fair Thursday in Springfield.
Gubernatorial candidate Bruce Rauner addressed his supporters at the Hilton Hotel in the morning.
If elected, he said he will focus on creating jobs, reducing the tax burden, investing in education, and ending corruption.
He also says he will not accept a salary or pension. He also plans to live in the Governor's mansion.
Rauner's beating Democratic Governor Pat Quinn in the polls, but knows he needs all the help he can get.
"This is our time. This is our time. This is going to be hard work. It's going to be a nasty, rough and tumble battle," said Rauner.
The Democrats held their rally at the State Fair on Wednesday.
