Chicago Little Leaguers World Series-bound

For the first time in three decades, a baseball team from Chicago is in the Little League World Series.

Jackie Robinson West advanced by winning the Great Lakes Region championship Saturday.

The team scored seven runs in the fifth inning to come back and beat a team from New Albany, Indiana 12-7.

Jackie Robinson West is made up of 11 and 12 year olds from Englewood, Morgan Park, Chatham, and Auburn-Gresham neighorhoods.

They are one of eight American teams in the World Series tournament.

Their first game is Thursday afternoon, in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
