A bear walking like a human around New Jersey has people wondering if it's for real, or just an internet hoax.

The bear was spotted Monday in Jefferson Township, and quickly spread across the internet.

According to wildlife officials, the bear is real and injured.

The Black Bear has an injury to both front legs, including its paws and possibly an elbow.

Officials don't know exactly how the bear got hurt but say its better to just let him heal and not get in his way.

I used to enjoy WGN News. However, I may not watch this program again after witnessing the insensitive and irresponsible manor in which the morning team managed this bear-walking video. After reporting that wildlife officials declared the video real and that the bear was likely injured (hence the odd way it was walking), the team continued to laugh at it. This bear likely is having difficulty finding food, which is also likely why it is bothering populated areas and actually could be dangerous if approached. The bear also is likely suffering and they laughed. I was very disappointed in this news team.
