Man injured breaking up fight at Blue Line station

A man was injured trying to break up a fight at Blue Line station in the Loop.

It happened at about 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Washington station.

Police say a group of teens were passing out flyers when they got into a fight with a passenger. The victim stepped in to stop the fight and that’s when he was struck in the face. He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

Police are investigating the case as a battery.
