A man from the Northwest Side has been put on electronic monitoring after he was charged with stealing Cubs gear outside Wrigley field.

Gusti Korotkov, 22, is charged with felony retail theft.

Police say he stole three jerseys, nine hats and a jacket from the cubs store last week, and then tried to sell it inside the ball park.

According to DNAinfo, Cubs security detained Korotkov after finding the sportswear in his bag. The merchandise still had the tags, and court records show that police were able to later get security camera footage from the store that showed Korotkov taking the clothes.

The items were worth more than $1,000.
