Cubs Game Notes For Thursday vs. Colorado

* Colorado has really dominated this series at home over the last few seasons, winning 14 of the last 18 and averaging better than seven runs per game and hitting .343.

* The Cubs have a chance today to win their first series in Colorado since the 2004 season.

* The Rockies recorded 16 hits in yesterday’s win, marking their major-league leading 15th game this season with at least 15 hits.

*However, the Rockies have also lost a league-high 20 games this season when recording double-digit hits, as they did in Game 1 of this series.

* Kyle Hendricks has struggled in the first inning of his four starts this season (allowing 5 runs in 4 innings, but has pitched nearly flawless ball from the second inning on (1 run in 22 1/3).
