A hazardous material spill near U.S. Cellular Field closed streets and caused traffic problems Wednesday afternoon.

A truck leaking acid pulled off the Dan Ryan at 35th St around 12:30 p.m.

Streets near the ballpark were closed, along with the 35th street CTA red line stop.

The Dan Ryan ramps have reopened at 35th St. The southbound ramp to 39th St still remains closed.

Emergency crews spent hours around the tanker containing the muriatic acid.

No one was hurt, but the fumes can cause headaches.

And fans going in and out of The Cell faced detours on trains, buses, in cars and on foot.
