A teen was killed and two others were injured overnight in a shooting on Chicago’s southwest side.

Police say the teens were standing near 24th and Washtenaw just before midnight, when two other males walked up and opened fire.

A 16-year-old was shot in the chest and pronounced dead at the hospital.

A 15-year-old and 18-year-old were also shot- both are in stable condition.

Police say all three victims are documented gang members.

No arrests have been made.

  • Just another night

Just another statistic for Chicago’s crime stats.
So sad that these young people are dying and committing these acts.

  • Tikka

Had this occurred in 1994 instead of 2014, barely a mention if anything would have been made on the air about this shooting and so many more. The Chicago media however wants us to believe that an epidemic is underway and it’s the guns to blame. Gun violence is down 50% from 1994, why wasn’t it an epidemic then?
