An 11-month-old girl died in Utah after being left alone in a hot car.

It happened in the city of Hurricane, near the Arizona and Nevada borders.

The girl was not breathing when she was found Saturday afternoon, strapped in a car seat.

She was airlifted to a hospital, where she died.

Witnesses told investigators the girl was alone in the car for a long period of time, and that the engine was not running.

Police say the situation involved a family member, but no arrests have been made.
