Funeral services to be held for infant starved to death

The infant who was starved and died of malnutrition in Barrington will be laid to rest Thursday.

Seven-month-old Mya Gianna Edwards was found dead in January at her home.

The non-profit group, “Rest in His Arms,” has custody of her remains and will hold a funeral service Thursday morning at Saint Anne’s.

She’ll be buried at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.

Markisha Jones, 19, and Gene Edwards, 22, are charged with involuntary manslaughter and felony child endangerment.
