Police storm Canadian plane after threat, passengers capture video

Dramatic cell phone video shows a tactical squad storming an international flight after a passenger made a threat.

A pair of U.S. fighter jets escorted a Sunwing Airlines flight bound for Panama, back to Toronto Friday morning about 45 minutes after taking off.

Officials say the plane was over West Virginia, when an agitated passenger made a direct threat against it.

Heavily armed police stormed the plane once it landed, yelling “heads down, hands up!” as they entered the cabin.

25-year-old Ali Shahi, a Canadian citizen, was arrested.  He’s been charged with mischief to property, mischief interfering of the lawful enjoyment of property, uttering threats and endangering the safety of an aircraft.   Shahi is due in bond court Saturday morning.
