Police: Suspect in custody in Orange Line robberies

Chicago police say they have one suspect in custody in connection with the armed robberies on the Orange Line last week.

Two suspects reportedly robbed several CTA passengers at gunpoint Wednesday July 16th around 4 p.m. Police say the robberies occurred on the Orange Line train as the train was between the Halsted and Roosevelt stop.

The suspects reportedly boarded the train car and announced an armed robbery, police said.

The suspect was arrested in northwest Indiana.

No charges have been filed.
