A photo of an Australian plus-sized model is getting a lot of attention on social media.

Robyn Lawley, 25, is considered a plus-sized model but a photo that she posted on Instagram has many people questioning that label.

In the photo, Lawley is wearing a bikini from her own line of plus-size swimwear. She decided to create her own line because she didn’t like the options currently available.

Hundreds of people liked and commented on the photo. A selection of comments are listed below, and you can read more here.

“Plus size??? Are you freakin kidding me??!! If this is plus size, then everyone I know is morbidly obese. Wow.”

“She is anything but plus size! That’s like my dream goal, and I’d even be happy to get halfway!”

“You are not plus sized. You are a regular sized individual. No more, no less. It is an insult to people with real weight issues that you title yourself with this. #getreal”

I like how all of you are so fast to down the label based on your limited-at-best world experience. She is indeed a “regular sized individual” but therefore NOT a fashion model – that’s the only point of the plus-size label. Furthermore, I found the morbid obesity comment entertaining because it’s pretty much true. Many of you can spend all day knocking skinniness but, at the same time, you can’t endure the look of yourself in the mirror due to the excessive amount of industrialized “food” that you gobble down every day. Get real.

Sorry but terminology “plus-size” doesn’t fit this woman. I would kill for that “plus-size” figure!

This woman is not plus sized. This type of “news reporting” is only sending the wrong message to people, especially young females, everywhere. This is just adding fuel to the eating disorder problem many are facing. Why doesn’t the “news” ever include anything relevant anymore? i.e. the corruption of the Obama Adminstration. I agree with the comment above… Let’s get real.
