Another event is cancelled because of the extreme weather.

Loopfest 2014 at the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, featuring Journey and Steve Miller Band, is postponed.

Flooding in the parking lot of the venue and surrounding streets would create difficulty in managing the concert traffic, according to a Live Nation press release. Rain is also expected to pick up in the evening, with a flash flood watch in effect through Sunday morning.

Live Nation vice president Jon Reens cited safety as a concern and a factor in the decision.

Tickets for tonight’s performance will be honored at a rescheduled date to be announced or can be refunded.
