Man, 34, killed in first homicide of Fourth of July weekend

Chicago police are investigating a deadly shooting on the South Side.

It happened around 2:30 a.m. Friday near the corner of 63rd and Damen.

A 34- year-old man was killed, and another man was wounded and is in critical condition.

Police say the two men were standing near a shopping center when someone in a black vehicle pulled up and shot them.

No suspects are in custody.

This is the first homicide of the Fourth of July weekend in Chicago.
