Illinois State Police confirm that a Rockford man suspected in two murders is in custody near Beloit, Wis.

36-year-old Terence Doddy was arrested around noon after he crashed into a tree in Rock County, Wis., following a chase talong the border of Illinois and Wisconsin, according to authorities.

Doddy is suspected of having killed his coworker,  37-year-old Todd Hansmeier, at their office in Rockford on Monday. It was possibly over a drug deal. Then, a day later, Doddy's suspected of murdering 44-year-old Tonya Bargman at a rest area near Paw Paw, Ill., to get her car.

Authorities say he stole that car and that an off-duty detective spotted him in the Rockford area Thursday evening. But Doddy was able to escape by speeding off.
