Monday night's double round of storms knocked out power for many in  the Chicago area.

And 24 hours later, some were still without electricity.

125,000 ComEd customers, mostly south of Chicago, remained without service Tuesday night.

“We expect a vast majority of our customers to have their power restored by Thursday,” utility spokesman John Schoen said Tuesday night. “There may be a few people in harder-hit areas where their restoration may go a little longer.”
