Flooded roadways caused big problems around O’Hare International Airport.

The back-up has been for miles this morning and people are leaving their cars to try and walk and catch their flight.

All eastbound lanes are have reopened at Manhiem. But early this morning standing water on I-190  shut down every lane except for one.

Authorities were allowing one westbound vehicle at a time to drive through the affected area, which is covered by about a foot of water, Sgt. Henry Spight of the Illinois State Police said.

Drivers headed from the city to the airport should avoid the expressway and use local roads.

Officials from I-DOT are on the scene.
