Video gambling will not be coming to one western suburb.

The Lombard Village Board voted tonight to keep its ban on video gambling machines.

Members of a group called Lombard Families First turned out in opposition to gambling.

After the vote went their way, they spoke their piece on the record.

Trustees rejected a bid to let places with liquor licenses have five gambling machines.

Several towns around Lombard allow the games, including Oakbrook Terrace and Villa Park.
