A cannabis conference was held in Chicago this weekend, sponsored by a group of medical marijuana advocates who are trying to improve the drug’s image and increase awareness of medical benefits.

Patients, politicians and physicians were at Navy Pier.

They came to Chicago from all over the country to help answer questions about the uses of marijuana.

The cannabis fair also featured products made with marijuana and hemp oil.

Illinois is trying to get its four-year pilot program off the ground. It was approved in January, but it’s unclear when patients will be able to start using the drug.
