The Chicago Cubs 90-year relationship with WGN Radio is coming to an end.

Cubs’ games will be moving to WBBM AM 780, starting next season.

The Tribune reports the Cubs reached a long term deal to move, but terms are not out yet.

Broadcasters Pat Hughes and Ron Coomer will still handle the play by play.

This all started when the Tribune Company exercised an option to re-open its radio contract last fall.

The company was reportedly losing money because of low ratings.

WGN had the right to match CBS’ offer, but it chose not to.

CBS radio stations also air bears and white sox games.
