Sun-drenched skies and warmer temperatures will make for a pleasant end to the workweek.
High pressure over the region will lead to sunny skies and that sunshine will push inland temperatures close to or even above the 80 degree mark.
Lakefront temperatures will remain about 10 degrees cooler thanks to a east/northeast blowing off a cool Lake Michigan.
Sunshine will once again be in abundant supply on Saturday as winds shift more southeast and south.
Inland highs are expected to reach the low to even mid-80s while the lakefront stays about 10 degrees cooler for another day.
Clouds will return to the region through the day Sunday and by late afternoon and into the evening a chance for showers and storms arrives as well.
Before any rain, temperatures are expected to reach the upper 80s.
