The Lane Tech football player who suffered brain damage during a game returned home nearly eight months since his injury.

17 year-old Drew Williams was hurt and collapsed in a game against Dunbar at Gately Stadium on October 4, 2013.

He suffered a severe brain injury and slipped into a coma.

He recently went back to his home on the Northwest side.

He is more alert, and responds to commands to move, though in a limited way. But, he still spends all of his time in either a bed or a wheelchair, and requires intensive therapy.
