Victims reunite with heroes to say ‘thank you’

They might have died, if not for the quick work of some Chicago paramedics.

Wednesday, they were able to reunite with their heroes to thank them.

Victims and emergency responders met up at the Quinn Fire Academy in the South Loop for an awards ceremony.

Lt./EMT Martinez Chapman was honored for reviving a three-year-old after he fell unconscious and stopped breaking in a park last month

In the other incident , paramedics Barb Martin and Karen Walter saved off-duty police officer John Murphy after he went into respiratory and cardiac arrest.

Fire department officials say the quick response and actions by the paramedics probably saved the victims’ lives.
