Police say a Bolingbrook man was selling fake Chicago Blackhawks tickets on Craigslist.

Edgar I. Kim, 29, is charged with one count of forgery, which is a class 3 felony.

Officials at the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office say they received a call from someone about fake tickets on Craigslist. The person said they responded to an ad on Craigslist listing two Blackhawks tickets for sale. The person met Kim at a business in incorporated DuPage County to purchase the tickets.

It wasn’t until the victim went to the game that he realized the tickets were not real.

Kim is being held on $10,000 at DuPage County Jail.

Police advise anyone who is looking to buy tickets to the Blackhawks playoff games to avoid web sites like Craigslist and stick with legitimate ticket re-sellers and brokers.
