Woman critically injured, 4 others shot in separate attacks

At least five people were shot and wounded in the city Thursday night.

A woman was shot in the stomach, on the 4700block of North Bernard, in the Albany Park neighborhood.

She’s in the hospital in critical condition.

Police say the woman says she was robbed, but she is not cooperating with detectives.

Later Thursday, about 11:15 p.m. in the Jeffery Manor neighborhood, two people were shot in the 2500 block of East 98th Street. Someone wearing all black fired toward them. A 37-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy were wounded – the boy with a left arm wound and the older with a hip wound. The teen went to Advocate Trinity Hospital and the man to Advocate Christ Medical Center.

About 5:40 p.m. in the 13200 block of South St. Lawrence Avenue in the Altgeld Gardens neighborhood, two 16-year-old boys were shot, Alfaro said. The two told police they were on the street when they heard shots and felt they pain, Alfaro said. An attacker wearing all-black clothing ran from the scene. Both of the boys were at Roseland Hospital, one with a gunshot wound to the right leg, the other with a gunshot wound to the right foot.

    Has ANYONE called the National Guard??? Are there any plans for curfew times in the most dangerous neighborhoods?? NO? Thought so…Then I guess all the shootings and gang related activities will continue in Chicago?
    Soooo….business as usual – killings, robberies,, shootings – – just your general gang related day to day activities.
