There is new trouble for the husband of Cook County circuit court clerk Dorothy Brown.

The state Dept of Financial and Professional Regulation is asking Benton Cook III to stop representing himself as a clinical psychologist.

They say he does not have a license to practice in Illinois.

Earlier this year, Cook’s name surfaced in connection with Gov Pat Quinn’s troubled anti-violence program, the neighborhood recovery initiative.

Cook was employed under the initiative, which was described as mismanaged in a state audit.
