Students and parents gathered at Highland Park High School this morning to protest the impending departure of its popular principal.
Critics say school officials didn’t do enough to make Brad Swanson want to stay.
Swanson plans to step down in July to become an assistant superintendent in Glenbrook School District 225.
Several people claim that Swanson was pressured to quit; others say he might have agreed to stay if school officials had made him feel more appreciated.
A campaign on Facebook told Highland Park High School students to wear their school colors at a 7:15 a.m. protest.
