Student falls from school bathroom window in Morgan Park

squad-car-lightsA Morgan Park Academy student fell from a bathroom window this morning.

School officials say it happened at about 9 a.m in the Morgan Park neighborhood.

The student was conscious when responders arrived.

He was taken to advocate Christ Medical Center and his family is with him.

Faculty and staff are providing counseling to students.

Parents are being asked to pick up any child wanting to leave school early.

  • Very Sad, No common sense guidance there

    CPS, your higher paid professionals need a little more common sense than college sense. It does not take a Masters Degree to walk around a school and point out potential serious safety issues. Maybe instead of spending time in the main office & having 1 engineer responsible for 2-3 or 4 schools which is just not safe or financially sound. Take notice & realize people know about all of you who are making obscene money, you 6 + Figures a year plus need to take a pay decrease and get some more engineers in the schools instead of laying them off. The are way to many managers and simply not enough workers to get the jobs done.
