Woman’s body pulled from Lake Michigan in Lake Forest

A body of a woman has been recovered from Lake Michigan in Lake Forest, the Coast Guard has confirmed.

Lake Forest Divers located the body just before 11 a.m. Thursday.

The woman is said to be between 30 -40 years-old.

The Lake Forest Fire Department received a call from a witness of a person waving their arms, bobbing up and down and then going under.

The incident happened just before 9 a.m. off of Lake Forest Beach.

Shoes and a sweater of a woman were found on the shore along the lake.

Both police and fire crews were on the scene and the Coast Guard and Lake County Dive Team were conducting a search in the water.
